As you are working hard in these days you are not able to care fo the details of your graduation party and your relatives and friends have the commitment to plan everything even if their choices do not correspond tot your style.
Well, I am here to give you some inspirations in order to make your graduation party memorable!
If you want to have a dinner you could name the tables with the exams you passed :)
The theme colour of the party must be red, that you could use on pompons hanging from the ceiling or from the trees if the party location is a garden.
Don't forget the candy station: it's a table devoted to sugared almonds (they should be red, of course!) gathered in silver trays or on wicker baskets wih red tulle.
Maybe few people know that each department has its own colour. Therefore you could add your dept. colour to table setting:
Literature and Phylosophy: White.
Law: Blue.
Maths and natural science: Green.
Veterinary: Purple.
Education studies: Pink
Media studies: Violet
Political science: Purple
Psychology: Gray
Pharmacy: Flamed red
Agriculture: Dark green
Arts: Light Blue
Architecture: Black
Sociology: Orange
The perfect centerpiece can be the classic grad hat that you can create with this diy tutorial:
Your dept. can give you inspirations for other decorations. For instance, civil engineering can be represented by Lego-made homes, or better from Meccano parts, information technology can be represented by old monitors, floppy discs and mouses, foreign language could have different country flags hanging from the ceiling, and so on.
Let's go with the funniest part of the party: the graduation "Papyrus", a poster with your cartoon and your funny biography.
Don't forget an easel to out it on or find a place visible for all the guests (there will be several lectures of it!!!). It would be pretty setting a notice board where all the guests can pin their comments on red cards!
Don't forget the favors! You don't need to choose an expensive object, it could embarass your guests.
Little grad hats made of paperboard with red sugar almonds inside could be a simple and funny solution. This tutorial exlains how to it http://clearlyistamp.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/06/grad-cap-favors.html
What shall I say, congratulations and have fun!!!

WEDDING IN THE WOODS

Your guests would love this fresh location on hot days! The location you choose shall be easily accessible by car not only for you and your guests but also for catering.
Maybe you have a relative or somebody yoy know who owns a country house on a hill. The catering company usually supplies gazebos, tables and chairs. You could also choose
simple tables and benchs, to get it more country. The wood is the main element. As you can see from the picture below the tablecloth does not cover all the table of massive wood. You could choose a runner (with a crochet or à jour border)and unbleached linen place mats. You could tie the napkins with a lace ribbon to get a vintage effect.
I'd rather had chosen lanterns or simple candlesticks intead of the silver candelabra in the picture. I appreciated the idea of setting a wicker sofa corner at the party. It would be great to have a carriage wheel, a settle for aperitifs and a wheelbarrow where you can lay your wedding favors.
Such a wedding party would be a low cost alternative (thing about the renting costs for a villa) but it would be more personalized.
Let's go with the shabby chic!
You could also choose to celebrate your wedding in the woods: in this case you would have your wedding in a registry office and on the same day you could get married in the woods or wherever you like.

TULIPS!!!
As the sun is shining and the climate is fairly warm, today reminds me of springtime, flimsy dresses and the first flowers blossoming.
It reminds me of tulips! This flower, whose bulbs are planted in autumn, survive during the cold season under a inch of earth and the wow! you can't even realize when they're blossomed! These flowers are among my favorite ones and they fairly mirror my today's feelings: an awakeining, a rebirthing after the apparent winter sleeping.
It is a concrete flower, it doesn't have an annoying smell and is available in a wide range of colour variations.
What about tulips in Tangerine Tango® 17-1463, the colour that Pantone launched this spring! We are going to match it with everything..let's think about brides and weddings!
Martha Stewart found out this bouquet! It's energy, the power of sun!

No words needed about using tulips as centerpieces...they seem to be created for this role!

(Notes On a Wedding)
If you are brave enough, you could dare the same color of the bouquet for your bridal shoes, or letting your bridal maids wear them, creating a wonderful fil rouge!!

The name tulip has its origins in the turkish word ‘tullband’, referring to the muslin turbans, which are similar to tulips flowers fully bloomed. According to an ancient Persian legend this flower is the symbol of love burning in the hearths of lovers, and its black stamens are the remaning fires after the heart has burned in its passion.
It is a versatile flower, with a large color range and fairly cheap!
They are not the right flowers if you are going to get married on a hot day: they will wither and lose petals very soon.
You could also chose to plant them in your garden, and you will always have a reminder of your wedding day.
If you love tulips you could also join the yearly Festa del Tulipano which is set in Castiglione al Lago in Italy and stuff with colours! http://www.festadeltulipano.it/
